Mom passed away 20 January 2001, aged 92, after a long struggle with
thyroid cancer. She was a remarkable woman, a survivor, which is why
it's so hard to believe she's gone. Even at 92, she still had things
yet to do, places to see, changes to make. She lived independently,
had her own "bachelorette pad," until she had to be hospitalized. I
hope she knows how much she's missed, how much she's loved each and
